hey guys!! how’s everyone doing? i am bored out of my mind because we don’t have classes on campus anymore and i can’t see my partner today 😔 i’m coming up on 9 months post op (or 38 weeks and 5 days) and i wanted to share a picture of my chest so far. i have about 90% sensation back and my chest is REALLY sensitive to the touch, particularly on my scars. my upper chest gets overstimulated pretty quickly but my scars actually feel really when they’re touched. starting about two months ago i started getting dermajet steroid injections in my scars because they had begun to keloid. the injections weren’t really painful since i don’t have feeling inside my scars, but i did have to keep them extra moisturizerized afterwards because they had new little scabs. the injections helped immensely and my scars have flattened out really really well. i might go in again in april just to fix one or two more spots that didn’t quite completely flatten out, but overall im really happy with where they are now.
